Rad started his career working with AVEDA in a Concept Salon here in his hometown, Lethbridge. In 2004, Rad moved to Vancouver and then to Calgary working as a stylist and a lead cutting educator for the AVEDA Advanced Academies.
The draw of family life as well as new business ventures drew Rad back to Lethbridge. In 2008 he participated in a family effort of opening Brio Salon before deciding to open LUUM salon with his partner April, in 2016.
Rad is truly a master of hair cutting. His ability to work together with the guest to infuse their ideas with his expertise in the craft, creates versatile cuts that are unique for each guest.
APRIL - Owner

April has been part of the AVEDA tribe since 1997. Growing up in Lethbridge as the daughter of a successful hair stylist and salon owner, April began her career as a stylist in her hometown before pursuing an interest in educating for the AVEDA Advanced Academies in Vancouver and Calgary in both cut and color domains, teaching across Canada.
In 2006, April returned to Lethbridge to start a family and take up new business opportunities. After starting Brio Salon as a family venture in 2008, April, with her partner Rad, branched out to create their own business, LUUM salon, in 2016.
She is a known ‘multipotentialite’: a woman of many different interests in life. As a lifelong learner, she has completed a Bachelors’ Degree and a Masters’ Degree in Psychology and is now pursuing a Doctorate in Animal Behaviour at the University of Lethbridge. She is a member of the Lethbridge Local Apprenticeship Committee for Hairstylists and is a government marker for the practical component of the Hairstylist Trade Examinations. April continues to work behind the chair, manage LUUM, and educate for Aveda. Amidst all of this, there have been some wild adventures raising two spectacular boys.

KRISTIN - Stylist

Kristin has been in the industry for over 20 years and is a certified color educator and Aveda ambassador. Her specialty is men’s hair cutting! Kristin loves that Aveda is a leader in environmental awareness and fair trade. Kristin is inspired by the ability to make someone feel great. When she can make someone else’s day, her day is also made!
REBECCA - Stylist

Rebecca has been in the makeup and hair industry since 2010. She finds inspiration and accomplishment each day by helping guests feel amazing and safe to express themselves. She is passionate about Aveda because the company cares about the planet and everything on it. Rebecca's favorite product is Confixor.
BILLY - Stylist

Billy made the move back to Southern Alberta from Toronto, where she attended the Aveda Institute and Academy to pursue a career in hairdressing in 2018. Billy found a passion for hairstyling through the experience of connecting with people. While attending the Aveda Institute and Academy, Billy was scouted by the senior creative director of Aveda Canada, Tristin Morrison, to work at Morrison&Co salon. Billy went on to Win the Edwin Neill Award for Haircutting in 2019.
OLIVIA - Stylist

Olivia graduated from hair school in 2022 and has since been mentored by top Aveda educators and stylists. She has been and continues to build her skills by staying up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques. She enjoys the creative process of colouring specifically working with blonde. She loves collaborating with clients to develop a customized look that reflects their personality and style!
JULIANA - Stylist

Juliana received her training at the Aveda Institute of Winnipeg. After that she worked at Verde salon where she participated in many classes led by Tatum Neil, Aran Beattie, and other great artists. She loves working with color, especially bright fashion Color’s! She also enjoys longer layers, shags, and bob cuts, really anything with lots of volume and movement!
